​*This schedule is meant to give a general idea of your child's day.  

 

Daily Schedule

 

7:30 – 8:30

Arrival

• At arrival all parents must sign in on the sign in sheet and initial (infants must also document the last time infant was feed and the amount given)

• Start infant sheets upon infant arrival

Infant/Preschooler

• Free play with quiet activities such as books, puzzles, table games, and non-messy art materials 

8:30 – 9:00

Breakfast

• Everyone needs to wash their hands and brush their teeth

• Children will help with clean up and play with table toys, read books until everyone finishes breakfast and cleans up

9:15 – 9:30

Circle Time (Creative Curriculum for Preschool)

• Children will take turns being helper for the day  

• We do calendar, weather, counting, patterns, shapes, ABC’s, finger plays etc.

• We also have a color, shape, letter, number and monthly/weekly themes

9:30 – 10:00

Story Time and Sensory play

• Children will explore their imagination through arts/crafts, learning games

• Rice, sand, water or play dough will be used for sensory play

• Potty breaks and diaper changes

10:00 - 10:30

Music appreciation – Stretching Exercises

• Children will play music instruments, listen to music

• Gross motor activities like dancing, movement of large body muscles/limbs

10:30 – 10:45

Morning snack, diaper checks, potty breaks

 

10:45 – 11:30

Outside play (weather permitting)

• Sidewalk chalk

• Nature walk/hunt

• Bubbles

• Sand play

• Different games using balls

11:30 – 12:30

Lunch

• Children will assist when applicable during  meal time, i.e. baking cookies, putting toppings on pizza, getting buns – they will NOT actually cook

• Create a social and pleasant environment for children to discuss what they are eating, how it was made, what nutrients it contains etc

• Brush teeth and clean up

12:30 – 12:45

Story Time and Quiet time

Preschoolers:

• Preparing for afternoon lunch

• Soothing music will play to help kids settle down or

• Reading a story from a selections of books

1:00 – 3:00

Nap/Rest Time

• Children unable sleep will rest quietly on their mats, looking at books

• Encourage children to bring sleep toys or special blankets from home to use at rest time

• As children wake, diapers are changed and potty breaks

3:00 – 3:30

Toileting Hand Washing/Change Diapers

• Children will help pick up and put away their nap mats

3:30 – 4:00

Group Activity

• Afternoon Snack – Children can assist setting the table and getting utensils out for their snack

4:00 – 4:30

S T E A M Projects (Science Technology Engineering Art Math)

• Science experiment with water, air, static energy, force, combustion

• Explore texture, reactions, mixtures, change in property etc

• Discovery dimensions, magnify shapes and cells

• Build train tracks, houses, structures using toilet/paper towel rolls among other materials

4:30 – 5:30

Indoor play

• Homework (school agers)

• Children free play/choice play

• Potty breaks and diaper changes

• Departures

 

 

*Diapers are changed every hour, if needed, unless needed sooner.  Infant needs are on demand for feeding, napping, and activities. The actual time and activities may change depending on the weather, time of year, the temperament of the children and the various ages of the group.
